Bombardier's Traxx Africa locomotive fleet reaches milestone

Bombardier Transportation's Transnet locomotive fleet in South Africa has completed ten million kilometres in service since it started operations three years ago. The locomotives transport freight on the country's long routes between its mines and ports.

Bombardier has been delivering the Bombardier Traxx Africa locomotives to Transnet since being awarded the contract to supply the electric locomotives by Transnet Freight Rail (TFR) in March 2014.
