Senior PR Account Manager

Are you a strong Mid-Level PR Account Manager ready to move into a Senior role?

NRPR, a Cape Town-based boutique PR consultancy, is looking for an experienced, proactive, and relationship-driven Senior PR Account Manager to manage a portfolio of South African and Global B2B and B2C clients.

You’ll work closely with the Owner/Account Director, leading client accounts end-to-end and collaborating with trusted partners in brand identity and design, web development and SEO, copywriting, content and campaign strategy, and coordination.

What you’ll be doing:

• Contribute to PR campaigns and strategies from idea to execution.
• Hands-on management of client relationships, including day-to-day account administration and coordination.
• Build and maintain strong media and stakeholder relationships.
• Draft media releases, pitches, statements, Q&As, and supporting content.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen client positioning and thought leadership.
• Tracking results, reporting, and turning coverage into insights.
• Assist with event coordination and industry engagements.
• Support internal processes and guide interns when needed.
• Coordinate and project-manage work delivered by NRPR’s specialist partners.

What we’re looking for:

• 3-year PR diploma or a degree in PR/Communications (or related field).
• 5+ years PR agency experience.
• Proven account management and media relations experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, including corporate and thought leadership formats, and media relations skills.
• A solutions-driven strategic thinker who enjoys hands-on execution.
• Comfortable managing multiple accounts.
• Strong understanding of digital media and social platforms.
• Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure.
• Experience working in integrated teams a plus.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products.
• Crisis communication awareness a plus.
• “Can-do” attitude with entrepreneurial spirit.
• Self-driven, reliable, and takes initiative.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
